Ever-evolving and membership led, Grassroots Grantmakers offers a forum for:
- Peer learning.
- Exploration of new strategies to better accomplish our work.
- Shared resources - local, national and international - in the area of grassroots grantmaking.
- Professional development and training for new abd experienced members.
Who Should Join Grassroots Grantmakers?
Funders who are working to strengthen resident-led organizations and their leaders in urban neighborhoods or rural communities, and are interested in supporting social change at the grassroots. Our growing network welcomes community foundations, private foundations, family foundations, corporate funders, local governments, and other private and public grantmakers.
We also invite non-grantmaking entities who work directly with resident-led grassroots organizations - technical assistance providers, for example - to join us as "Friends".
What Does It Cost?
Memberships in Grassroots Grantmakers are renewable on an annual basis. Membership contributions range from $500 to $20,000, with $500 as the entry threshold for membership. Organizations that contribute $5,000 or more are invited to recognize others working in concert in their own community as a Grassroots Grantmakers Cluster . We recognize that member contributions will vary depending on organizational resources.
