Baltimore Community Foundation's William Donald Schaefer's Civic Fund

The William Donald Schaefer Civic Fund at Baltimore Community Foundation  is a living legacy for Baltimore's neighborhoods, honoring and perpetuating Governor Schaefer's lifelong dedication to Baltimore's neighborhoods. The Schaefer Civic Fund will complement BCF's highly regarded Neighborhood Grants Program, leveraging community advisory and staff oversight and tapping Governor Schaefer's extensive knowledge of Baltimore neighborhoods and their needs. The Schaefer Civic Fund has been seeded by Governor Schaefer with money from left-over campaign funds and from a Civic Fund created during his time as Mayor of Baltimore. BCF has announced a goal of raising $5 million for the Schaefer Civic Fund to ensure a strong source of neighborhood grants for generations of Baltimoreans.
